The course leading to the Healthcare Provider credential was taught over several health class periods, with students learning how to respond to a sudden cardiac arrest, choking emergency or other emergency in the first few minutes before the Emergency Medical Technicians arrive.

“Everyone should know how to do CPR. Most kids wouldn’t go out on their own and get certified because it costs money. We got our training as part of our health class and that’s cool,” said Joseph Hyatt, a Fox Meadow student from the Haldane School District.

The thirteen students who received the Healthcare Provider credential are: Andrew Lamb, Bryan Mendez, Nicholas Maurno, Kyle Pettit, Michael Opromolla, Derrick McMasters, Dean Yorio, Billy Goldberg, Jason Clearwater, Justin Cohen, and Michael Sceppaquercia.
